In May of 2019 the State of Georgia launched its new state-of-the-art system, Georgia Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System (DRIVES) to upgrade and modernize the vehicle registration and titling functions. After the statewide system upgrade had been successfully completed, the Georgia Motor Vehicle Division launched a new web services portal to enable Georgia residents to complete more vehicle services online. Residents are now able to complete a host of services online including pre-applying for title and registration, completing online renewals faster, and changing a registration address. From the Governor to local County Tax Commissioners, there is a real focus on delivering great customer service to all Georgians. "The goal of enhancing and expanding our online services is to put the customer in the driver's seat. Customers now have the option of completing additional vehicle services from the comfort of their home and at any time, instead of planning a trip to their local county tag office," says State Revenue Commissioner, David Curry. "The first day of DRIVES was very successful in Hall County with very few glitches and minor delays in service time."
Our client partnered with us to create an envelope for Hall County, Georgia that would accommodate the influx of vehicle registration documents that would need to be mailed out due to the new online services. This custom envelope includes an inside pocket that holds registration paperwork and the main pocket is used for the metal tag plate that goes on the back of the car and is also large enough to fit a license plate. Printed text on the front of the envelope also specifies, “Important – Your Registration will be found in Pocket” to clearly explain where this document can be found within the envelope. Lastly, a Kwik-Tak adhesive self-seal allows the staff to easily insert materials/documents into the envelope and seal without the need to add moisture to mail off to residents quickly and securely.
